Meet Our Doctors

Dr Mike Biles

Dr. Mike Biles, DVM

Veterinarian

Mike graduated first in his class from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. After graduating, he worked in various places including practices in Albany, GA and Atmore, AL doing both small and large animal work. In 1996, Mike decided to strike out on his own and built Biles Animal Hospital. Mike lives in Bay Minette with his wife Betsy.

Dr. Finlay

Dr. David Finlay, DVM

Veterinarian

David grew up in Montgomery, AL. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Auburn University Montgomery and graduated with honors from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Beginning his career in the Tampa Bay area, where he has a son named Luke, David returned to Alabama in 2008 after he and his wife purchased the practice. Dr. Finlay shares his home with wife Ashley, their sons Jack and Ben, their daughter Sadie and a vast array of pets.

Dr. Jessica Ward, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Ward received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University. She has spent the following years practicing in Tennessee.

Dr. Ward’s talent will help us continue our promise of providing excellent service to you and your pet.

Brittany Diener
Brittany Diener

Lead Veterinary Assistant

Brittany was born and raised in Central Illinois. She now resides in South Alabama with her family and her dogs, Chewy and Tilly. She used to work in human medicine, but switched to veterinary medicine due to her love for animals. She is an aspiring veterinary technician, but until then, she will be taking care of all your furry friends as an assistant!

Courtney Stewart
Courtney Stewart

Lead Assistant

Courtney has been with us since 2005. Along with working at Delta Animal Hospital, Courtney and her husband Dwyane love spending time with their son Sayler, being on the water, and kayak fishing. She has a dog named Dexter, a cat named Ed Sheeran, a bunny, chickens, quail, and pheasants.

Rebekah Thomley
Lead Receptionist

Rebekah is a lifelong resident of Stockton, AL; she has had a love for animals her whole life. She graduated from First Assembly of God Christian School. At age 6, she started her goat farm and continues to adore her goats, horses, dogs, and a vast array of other animals. In her spare time, you can find her taking care of her animals or enjoying time on the water, 4-wheeling, or hunting, but she always has time for her friends, family, and church.

Jordan Bryant

Receptionist

Jordan was born and raised here in Bay Minette. She and her husband Matt share their home with their 4 children Hayden, Caysen, Jorja and Everly. She has an affinity for coffee and if you’re out on Black Friday watch out!

Kane Galbraith

Veterinary Assistant

Kane went to Baker High School. He prides himself on the joy of helping others with their pets. He says there is no connection like the one we have with our pets. He loves to make music, draw, and paint in his free time. He has been a musician since he was 6-7 years old and loves playing guitar. kane and his girlfriend also loves spending time in nature, going to the beach, and on hikes.

Shelby Mitchem

Assistant

Shelby was born and raised in Bay Minette. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Allen, her daughter, Emma, and her multiple dogs and cats. She has always had a love for all animals and has owned everything from snakes, fish, turtles, bearded dragons, and birds.

Tamaran Rigby
LVT, Practice Manager

Tamaran has been practicing for 15 years. She went to Penn Foster College. She prides herself in attention to detail and making sure she is providing the best patient care possible. in her free time, she spends the majority of her time with her two children, going to different events and parks, hiking, the beach, etc. In her down time, she enjoys painting and working with essential oils.

DJ Brown

Assistant

DJ has been in the veterinary medicine field for five years and attended Coastal Community College and Troy University. He prides himself in being very compassionate and patient towards the animals in his care. In his free time, DJ likes to relax and recuperate by going to the beach and streaming his favorite shows. He’s a major foodie, and his favorite food is pasta alfredo.

Celena

Receptionist/Assistant

Celena graduated from Coastal Alabama. She takes pride in her patient approach, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids; they particularly enjoy doing to Disney together. She loves being a dance mom and participating in fundraisers.

Caitlin

Assistant

Caitlin has dedicated herself to the veterinary field for 15 years. She values patience and extends love to her patients as if they were her own, particularly when dealing with the more reserved ones. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys watching scary movies and traveling with her 2 dogs.

Nicole Hebert
Kennel Technician

Nicole attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Although this is Nicole’s first job in the veterinary medicine field, she has worked with dogs for several years through the United States Service Dogs organization. She prides herself on her hospitality, sitting with her patients, and being a calming presence. Nicole enjoys reading, most commonly fantasy. She enjoys taking her dog, Maya, for walks and to the beach.
